Protecting the confidentiality of personal information is important to TEAMM, and is fundamental to the way we conduct business. TEAMM is cognisant of privacy issues and the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 and retaining the complete and ongoing trust our clients.

TEAMM are an independent licenced mercantile agency, and collect information on behalf of insurance companies in order to review and process matters under the terms and conditions of the insurance policy.

Where possible we will collect personal information directly from you. The personal information collected and maintained by TEAMM comprises your name, address, contact details and information specific to claims managment and is used for the purposes of assessing your claim under your insurance policy.

Personal information for the claims management and repair specified above may be shared on a confidential basis with but not limited to:

• loss adjusters and assessors;
• repairers and suppliers;
• investigators and recovery agents;
• legal advisors;
• contracted advisors and service providers;
• professional and other organisations;
• other parties as required by law and/or
• the agent of any of these.

We will retain the content of any e-mail that you send us, if we believe that we have a legal requirement to do so. Your e-mail message content may be monitored by our employees for security issues including where e-mail abuse is suspected; our response to you may be monitored for quality assurance issues.
